Foot Zone Focus June 2026

Foot Zone Therapy Session Hygiene Issues

Much of the following information (otherwise known as my opinions) is taken from the ‘Standards and Ethics Form’ that each zone therapist registered under my name with the Utah Massage Board must agree to and verify their agreement and willingness to live according to in their practice of Zone Therapy by signing the form. You will notice, as you read, that not all of the following advice is about hygiene. Sorry about that. At least, I am a little bit sorry!

Quality zone therapy sessions require a systematic approach to the acquisition of skills and knowledge, and the self-discipline to always act in a professional and responsible manner. A ‘professional manner’ when touching any part of another person’s body must always include basic cleanliness and concern for proper hygiene. This will prevent the transmission of any ‘disease’ entity between therapist and client and from client to therapist—and then, potentially, to the therapist’s or client’s family members.

Foot Zone Focus – November 2025

I am so excited about this new monthly Butterfly Foot Zone Focus. I have spent more than 25 years creating and then using Butterfly Products as I learned bit by bit what worked for what during a Foot Zone Session. (I even got a vote on what would be featured in this first month’s specials, ha ha.)

June – Sun Safety & Bugs

Essential oils, herbs, and homeopathic remedies can be great natural options for keeping your skin safe in the sun and keeping bugs away. Products like lavender essential oil and Neutralizer help soothe sunburns, while things like Sun Shade lotion offer sun protection. For bug bites and stings, herbs like calendula or plantain can calm the itch, and essential oils like citronella, catnip, and kanuka help keep mosquitoes and other bugs at bay. Homeopathic remedies like Apis or Ledum can also help with swelling and itching if you do get bitten. It’s a simple, natural way to care for your skin and stay comfortable when you’re outside.
