Just a note, here at the beginning of this blog, to tell you how much we have appreciated the support of so many of you for Butterfly Express, LLC and its companion company, Butterfly Expressions, LLC. So many of you, both long-time and more recent customers, feel like friends or family!
Every purchase, every kind word, and every recommendation means the world to us. Your support has helped us enjoy the good times and weather some difficult days over the years. Your support has helped us grow and helped us be able to continue doing what we pictured in our minds all those years ago. From its tiny beginnings in my home’s kitchen as I tried to share with others the things our family was learning by study and experience (translate ‘experience’ to ‘illnesses’ and ‘accidents’, please), through hundreds of classes held here and, now, to all that happens here every day, your support and kindness has made it a joy to us!
I feel very blessed and very grateful. My heart is full this Thanksgiving season for all of you, and I wish you and your families the best of everything in the years to come!
Much of the following information (otherwise known as my opinions) is taken from the ‘Standards and Ethics Form’ that each zone therapist registered under my name with the Utah Massage Board must agree to and verify their agreement and willingness to live according to in their practice of Zone Therapy by signing the form. You will notice, as you read, that not all of the following advice is about hygiene. Sorry about that. At least, I am a little bit sorry!
Quality zone therapy sessions require a systematic approach to the acquisition of skills and knowledge, and the self-discipline to always act in a professional and responsible manner. A ‘professional manner’ when touching any part of another person’s body must always include basic cleanliness and concern for proper hygiene. This will prevent the transmission of any ‘disease’ entity between therapist and client and from client to therapist—and then, potentially, to the therapist’s or client’s family members.
